"Big Dipper Meteors."
The big 'Drinking Gourd' dips down towards Lake Koocanusa during the 2020 Perseid meteor shower's peak. In this composite image, 13 meteors trace back towards the Perseus constellation while 2 others (upper right and lower left) were random meteors. Light from a crescent moon turns the sky blue in a long exposure made at night. Viewpoint is from Rexford Montana looking north over Lake Koocanusa towards Bull Mountain in the hazy distance.
