"Fancy Dancers"
Dance competitions at modern pow-wows show off a specific intensity and an overall grace. Drumming rattles your bones while chanting lilts up and down the valley. These sensations set the stage for swirling blurs of spark and spirit that is the fancy dance.
I set out to make an image that pays homage to the overall scene instead of an individual competitor. This long-, multiple-exposure blur incorporates many points of interest that force your eyes to bounce and spin from point to point -- just like the fancy dancers.
